| COMINGS & GOINGS |
Lisa, a member of our front of house staff, has now got herself a "proper"job with social services. Lisa came to Owd Betts after finishing University, but sadly for us we will not be seeing so much of her in the future. Lisa however enjoys it here so much - she plans to continue to do odd shifts for us over the summer period. Thanks for everything Lisa and we are pleased you will be staying on |

| We
Say a big HELLO to Jennie. Jennie has just returned from a back packing
trip around the world and although she tells us she is settling down again
to life in Rochdale - how do you compete with Fiji, New Zealand and Australia,
just to name a few of the places she has been. You will know Jennie - she's
the one with the great tan!!
Also starting with us this week are Hannah and James, welcome to the team. |

| CONGRATULATIONS | Later
this summer there will be the patter of tiny feet at Owd Betts. MINE
HOSTS, Rhys and Donna, are having a baby - Yes, Rhys AND Donna!!! Whilst
Donna is blooming, calm and happy - Rhys is worried, nervous and reading
all the books!!
Never mind, Rhys, it gets worse before it gets better - in about 30 years! |

| THE WIND FARM | The
turbines are going up over Knowle Hill and it's bringing walkers out
to see the spectacle. We have noticed an increase in the number of walkers
recently, so perhaps this was not such and Ill Wind after all!!!!
However, thanks to member of staff MADDIE we have photographs of Knowle Hill and Ashworth Moor in its pristine state - before the turbines went up. We have these photos on display in the entrance and in the restaurant. |

| ST DAVID'S DAY | We had a special St David's day event on Saturday 1st March, with food from around Wales - Conwy oyster, salt marsh lamb Welsh black beef etc. We also had a selection of welsh cheeses, bara brith and lava bread - which is not bread at all but seaweed - to sample. | ![]() |
